Not Returning Home After Selling Food, Family Finds Tamsi Dead In A 2-Meters Flooded Paddy Fields

Members of the East Martapura Police along with residents evacuated the bodies of the victim who drowned at the flood location/ANTARA.

BANJAR - The flood incident in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan claimed one life. A victim was found dead in a paddy field that was inundated with two meters of water.

"The body of the victim in the name of Muhammad Tamsi was found today in Dalam Pagar Ulu Village," said East Martapura Police Chief Ipda Bagus in Martapura, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 1.

The police chief explained, from the statement, the family had been looking for the whereabouts of the victim who had not returned home after selling meatballs since last Tuesday.

Then the results of the family search assisted by the community and members of the Polsek finally found the victim's helmet floating around the flooded rice fields.

Furthermore, not far from the location, the victim's motorbike was found submerged in the water and the victim also drowned in a dead condition.

After a physical examination by the Banjar Police Inafis team, there were no signs of violence on the victim's body.

So it can be concluded that the victim died as a result of drowning in the water at the location of the flooded rice fields.

"Based on family information, the victim could not swim, so it is estimated that when crossing the flooded road, the victim fell and eventually drowned," said the Head of Police representing the Head of Banjar Police AKBP M Ifan Hariyat.
