One of them is Megawati Soekarnoputri. According to Ganjar, Megawati, who was also present at the event, is an example of a great figure who was born from the womb of Muhammadiyah.
“Earlier, Mr. Haedar told me about Mrs. Mega. Mrs. Mega is not a stranger, she is a member of the Muhammadiyah family. Because Mrs. Fatmawati, Bung Karno was a Muhammadiyah cadre. Of course, there are many other figures who complement each other, learn from each other, and have many benefits for the nation and state," he explained.
Ganjar Pranowo is optimistic that Muhammadiyah will continue to produce national figures. Muhammadiyah Youth is one of the platforms to make it all happen.
"That's why I agree with Cak Nanto (Sunanto, Chairman of Muhammadiyah Youth), Muhammadiyah Youth is a national asset that must be considered, taken into account, and invited to be involved by all components of society. Muhammadiyah Youth has a much-needed role in caring for diversity," he said.
Ganjar added, President Joko Widodo directly asked Muhammadiyah Youth to be actively involved in nation-building. Jokowi asked young people to realize that Indonesia could become a superpower. Jokowi, continued Ganjar, gave Muhammadiyah Youth the spirit that Indonesia could become a rich country. Many countries depend on this country.
"Our natural resources are abundant, there are nickel, bauxite, and others. If it can be processed by yourself, then the results can be multiplied. So the President said that we have to manage everything ourselves. If we are sued and lose, then what do we do? Fight! Muhammadiyah youth are also ready to fight," he concluded.
