Terrorist Ambush In Makassar, Series Of Bombs, Long-barreled Weapons Until Samurai Found

MAKASSAR - The South Sulawesi Police released evidence related to the ambush of suspected terrorists in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. There were rifles, a series of bombs and arrows confiscated from the homes of JAD members.

"A series of bombs, six rifles, sharp weapons, badik, machetes, swords, weapons, samurai, bows, and books that are radiacally provocative," said South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Merdisyam in a press conference on Thursday, January 7.

The ambush of the suspected terrorist was carried out on Wednesday, December 6 at the Villa Mutiara Cluster Biru housing estate, Biringkanaya, Makassar City. During the ambush, two suspected terrorists were shot dead for attacking the police.

The suspected terrorist attacked the police with machetes and firearms. Hence the two suspected terrorists were shot.

"Those two suspected terrorists died, namely, Mz and Sa," said Merdisyam.

In addition, there were 18 suspected terrorists who were arrested by Densus 88 Anti-terror. Dozens of suspected terrorists were arrested at different locations.

Those arrested were Z, Rz, Ms, N, M, A, Apa, I, As, Iw, He, Mu Aulia, B, H, Aa, R, Ha.

"For those concerned, they have been staked out from 2015 until 2021 by the Police," said Inspector General Merdisyam.

"The perpetrator's involvement is a JAD network, along with hundreds of other worshipers, who declared allegiance to the Khilafah or ISIS in 2015 at the Alridho foundation lodge belonging to terrorism convicts who died in Nusakambangan," he continued.
