The voluntary recall, issued on Jan. 28, covers 25,200 cases of the vanilla Frappuccino cold brew coffee, the FDA said. Twelve bottles in each case, meaning 302,400 were part of the recall.
The FDA classifies this as a Class II recall. This means the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
Distributed nationwide by PepsiCo, bottles with expiration dates of March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10 are affected by the recall, according to the notice.
The notice did not say whether any injuries had been reported or how the glass was found. PepsiCo has not yet commented.
