The police revealed the theft of 52 lights at the Mijen Circuit, Semarang City, Central Java, with a loss of Rp. 32 million. Kapolsek Mijen Kompol Kholid Mawardi said one of the three perpetrators had been arrested in the incident. "Two other perpetrators are still being hunted because they are suspected of escaping out of town," he said in Semarang, Antara, Thursday, January 12. According to him, the theft of dozens of Mijen Circuit lights was revealed when officers found cables scattered under the lamp. After checking, he said, it turned out that dozens of lamppoles were found in the same condition. From the statement of the suspect NR (33), a resident of Kendal Regency, the theft was carried out several times at night. The perpetrators, continued the police chief, took aluminum parts from the lights for sale. "The perpetrator is suspected of using the condition of the Mijen Circuit which is quiet and unsupervised," he said. Currently, the police are still hunting for two other perpetrators whose identities have been pocketed. For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
