Ministry Of BUMN Removes Two ASABRI Directors

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) carried out an overhaul of the board of directors of PT Asabri (Persero). Two directors of PT ASABRI (Persero) were removed, namely Herman Hidayat and Rony Hanityo Apriyanto.

Submission of a copy of the SOE minister's decree (SK) regarding dismissal, changes to the nomenclature of positions, and the appointment of ASABRI directors will be held today, at the Ministry of BUMN.

Through the Decree of the Minister of BUMN Number: SK-36 / MBU / 01/2020 dated January 30, 2020, Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir as the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) honorably dismissed Herman Hidayat and Rony Hanityo Apriyanto from their positions as Director.

The Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Ministry of BUMN Ferry Andrianto said, previously Herman and Rony were appointed based on the Decree of the Minister of BUMN Number: SK-66 / MBU / 03/2016 dated March 29, 2016 and SK-171 / MBU / 08/2019 dated August 2, 2019.

Ferry explained, through this decree, the Minister of BUMN also changed the position nomenclature of the members of the Board of Directors of the Company (Persero) PT ASABRI, which was originally written as Director to Director of Human Resources and Law, Director of Finance, and Director of Investment.

"To fill these positions, the Minister of BUMN appointed Eko Setiawan as Director of Human Resources and Law, Helmi Imam Satriyono as Director of Finance, and Jeffry Haryadi P. Manullang as Investment Director," said Ferry Andrianto in a written statement received by VOI, in Jakarta, Thursday, January 30th.

Previously, PT Asuransi Angkatan Bers Revolusi Republik Indonesia or ASABRI (Persero) recorded an unrealized loss in 2019 worth IDR 4.84 trillion.

The loss comes from the investment in the old age savings program, work accident insurance and death benefits. In total, the value of Asabri's investment losses last year was valued at IDR 4.94 trillion.
