Karawang Regency Government Denies Reports Of Down Payment Required To Be Paid By Rengasdengklok Old Market Vendors

KARAWANG - The government of Karawang regency, West Java, is relocating traders from the old Rengasdengklok market to a new market. Because, the location of the old market will be built a park or green open space.

Secretary of Karawang, Acep Jamhuri said, the relocation of traders will be carried out over the next few days.

"The Karawang Regency Government will give tolerance over the next few days, so that the old Rengasdengklok market traders will immediately move to the newly built market, even though many of them refuse to be moved," he explained in Karawang, Antara, Sunday, November 20.

Acep said that the obligation to pay a down payment for the old Rengasdengklok market traders who moved to the new market was false news.

"That's not true. I guarantee that there is nothing like that (advance obligation). They will be moved, we will accommodate them at New Proklamasi Market. The facilities will be arranged and prepared," he said.

Meanwhile, a new Rengasdengklok market called Proklamasi Market was built by a third party, PT Visi Indonesia Mandiri. Furthermore, the traders will buy stalls available in the market.

The third-party stated that the price for a trader's booth is IDR 16.5 million and a kiosk price is IDR 19 million. Purchases are made in installments.

The new Rengasdengklok Proklamasi Market was built on about 5 hectares of land. The building has an investment value of IDR 116 billion and will later be integrated with a public transportation terminal and goods loading and unloading vehicles.
