Due To Heavy Rain, Jakarta - Merak Toll Road Is Paralyzed

Floods on the Jakarta - Merak toll road, small vehicles cannot pass /Capture video reports from the Banten Police

BANTEN - After heavy rains that hit a number of areas in Tangerang and Banten, it resulted in an increase in water on the Bitung Tangerang Toll Road. Even since Sunday afternoon, November 13, the water level has reached more than 1 meter.

Information received from the Banten Police, the overflow of water entered the toll road and resulted in the Jakarta - Merak toll road being only able to be traversed in lane 4 by large vehicles. Meanwhile, small vehicles cannot pass which has an impact on traffic congestion from the tail to the Tangerang toll gate.

On the other hand, the inundation of the Merak toll road towards Jaya occurred due to the impact of flooding on housing around Km 24. This route can only be traversed in lanes 3 and 4 both by large and small vehicles slowly, causing traffic jams up to the Cikupa toll road.

The PJR Korlantas Polri and Ditlantas Polda Banten have coordinated with toll road managers to divert vehicles leaving the toll road in Karawaci and continue their journey using non-toll routes.
