Attempting To Present A Presidential Candidate As Well As The Program, KIB Is Considered To Be The Answer To The Public's Desire

JAKARTA - The United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) is scheduled to hold a meeting in Makassar this weekend. The meeting will discuss the completion of the KIB work program for the next 10 years while selecting a suitable presidential candidate to run it.

Airlangga University Political Communication Expert, Suko Widodo, assessed that the KIB plan answered the public's demand that the presence of a presidential candidate be followed by information about his work program when he was later determined to be a leader.

"So far, the biggest criticism of political parties is that they propose people but are not accompanied by ideas. And KIB tries to answer even though the end of the idea still involves them being in that room," said Suko, Thursday, November 3.

According to Suko, KIB was the first coalition to come up with this idea. They will discuss and agree to determine a work program for mutual victory.

"If it itself will be tossed around, with the coalition there is a power that is quite large," he said.

The program plan compiled by KIB, he said, would definitely coincide with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Suko considers that this is because the intimacy that exists between the KIB member parties, namely Golkar, PAN and PPP, and President Jokowi is warmer than with other parties, such as PDIP.

"Actually, the core of the coalition has caught the signal that they are interested, Mr. Jokowi is interested. KIB is trying to adjust to Jokowi," said Suko.

Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of the PAN DPP Viva Yoga Mauladi said KIB would hold a meeting in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday, November 6.

“November 6 this KIB (meeting) in Makassar. To complete the KIB work program with the tagline PATEN. PATEN is a program to accelerate the transformation of the national economy. So there is a KIB program formulated for the next 10 years," said Viva, Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Viva said, KIB will formulate a program for the next 10 years. From there, KIB will examine the appropriate presidential candidates to be carried out in the 2024 presidential election in accordance with the program that will be compiled.

According to Viva, these figures will be investigated based on their track record of who is capable and appropriate to run the MCH program for the next 10 years.

"We use a program idea approach, so we will research approximately, the right figures, who have the capacity to carry out MCH programs. Later, they will be formulated as candidate pairs from KIB," said Viva.
