Housemaid Tortured By Employer In Duren Sawit Is Treated At Police Hospital

JAKARTA - A housemaid (PRT) with the initials RNA (18) who is suspected of being a victim of violence while working at the home of a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, is undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, AKBP Wulan, said RNA was treated at the request of the Metro Jaya Police investigators for a forensic psychiatric examination (visum et repertum psikiatrikum) for investigation purposes.

"According to the request of the investigator. The post-mortem is not at the Police Hospital. Here it is only psychiatry," Wulan said, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 3.

"Visum et repertum psikiatrikum" is a psychological examination carried out by a team of forensic psychiatric psychiatrists.

This procedure is often used in criminal cases. Later, the results of the post-mortem will be submitted by a team of forensic mental psychiatrists at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital to the Jakarta Metro Police investigators as evidence in the RNA torture case.

RNA's uncle, Ceceng (42) said the victim was being treated at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for the next 14 days. The family fully handed over the case of abuse to sexual harassment experienced by RNA to the Metro Jaya Police investigators.

"Previously, the victim was hospitalized for four days at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD). Thank God we were taken very seriously by the Metro Jaya Police," said Ceceng.

RNA admitted that she was a victim of violence by her employer in the form of physical and psychological torture. RNA is alleged to have been tortured from June to the end of October 2022 alternately by a husband and wife (couple) of her employer until she suffered many injuries all over her body.
