JAKARTA - The victims of the Itaewon tragedy on Halloween night have indeed been buried. Families can come to the multi-purpose gymnasium in Wonhyo-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul to look for the victims' belongings.

Starting from October 31 to November 6, this room is opened by the South Korean government. It contained all the items that had been collected at the site of the tragedy.

The total goods collected reached 1.5 tons. It consists of 124 bags, 258 clothes, 256 pairs of shoes, and 156 other electronic products, as quoted from Hankook Ilbo, Tuesday, November 1.

Hundreds of clothes, shoes, and bags whose owners had died were neatly arranged on the gymnasium floor. After the accident, the Yongsan Police Station kept it and opened the 'Itaewon Accident and Discovery Center' until late at night.

"The items were collected near Itaewon Station as well as World Food Street where the accident occurred," a police official said.

Most notably, the 66 pairs of shoes were missing. The crash was devastating, and many of the victims were found without shoes.

Victims' families can retrieve their lost belongings or family mementos here.

"In the case of the bag, the contents are still inside, so you or your family can be identified," police said.
