In 1 Month, 75 PMKS Caught By Central Jakarta Social Service Officers

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. has arrested 75 people with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) during September 2022 at a number of points in Central Jakarta. Intensive PMKS networks to provide comfort and the beauty of the city.

"75 PMKS have been netted, namely 2 street children, 10 displaced elderly, 41 homeless people, 6 beggars or buskers, 11 ODMK and 5 other people," said Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-dept. Abdul Salam when confirmed, Monday, October 3.

PMKS who were caught were taken to a social institution. Then they were identified as PMKS type and underwent an assessment process.

"They were referred to the People's Social Institution, Bangun Daya 01 Kedoya, West Jakarta, for further guidance," he said.

PMKS will later be referred after undergoing an assessment. They are given physical guidance, skills, social guidance and independence guidance which lasts for 6 to 12 months.

"After leaving the orphanage, it is hoped that they can live independently with the provisions of independence received in the orphanage," he said.
