JAKARTA - Erik ten Hag apologized to team supporters after Manchester United were unable to present a win and only drew 1-1 with Burnley's 19th place in the Premier League week 35 at Old Trafford, Saturday, April 27 evening.

This draw made MU fail to reach the top four or Champions League zone. The Reds Devils, who are in sixth place with 54 points, are also in danger of being shifted to Newcastle in seventh position by one point.

MU supporters at Old Trafford also mocked the team when the long whistle sounded. Arguments from the audience were also heard when Ten Hag made substitutions in the second half.

"Sorry for everything," said the Dutch coach as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, April 28.

He then asked fans to be patient because MU was building a strong team and filled with young players.

"I'm very impatient but we need patience and fans need patience," he said. We are building a team and they need experience."

"It took time, and we built it by bringing in young players. Hojlund, Garnacho, Mainoo, they are all in the first season of the Premier League which is getting more intense from year to year," he said.

MU still has four matches left in the Premier League, including against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton. They also challenged Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 25, 2024.
