This Is Police's Response Regarding Ferdy Sambo's Back Up, A 'Foster Brother'

JAKARTA - Information is circulating about the whereabouts of Ferdy Sambo's 'foster brother' who is said to have played a major role in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J. Responding to this, the National Police stated that they had not received any information regarding this matter.

"Not yet informed," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo when confirmed, Friday, September 23.

The context of the 'foster brother' in question is a member of the National Police who is more senior than Ferdy Sambo. Both those who have retired or are still members of the Bhayangkara Corps.

However, until now, it is not known who the figure who is said to be the 'foster brother' of the former Head of the Propam Police Division is.

Separately, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Nurul Azizah, who was asked for information regarding Ferdy Sambo's 'foster brother' chose not to comment much. He asked that the matter await the report of the special team (timsus).

The same answer also came from Kombes Nurul when he was asked about whether the team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo would explore the role and whereabouts of Ferdy Sambo's 'foster brother'.

"Waiting for information from the timsus," he said.

Information about the whereabouts of Ferdy Sambo's 'foster brother' was first revealed by the Professor of Political and Security Sciences at Padjadjaran University (Unpad) who is also a former adviser to the National Police Chief, Muradi.

At that time, he said that Ferdy Sambo's foster brother had considerable power within the National Police.

"Foster siblings in the context model have retired, some haven't, so this is what I think is a bit harsh on the inside, that's actually the situation because foster siblings have opportunities, have extraordinary full power," said Muradi.

In fact, he said that the former head of the Propam division was still an active member of the National Police but had retired.

They are suspected of helping Ferdy Sambo to get out of the trap of the murder of Brigadier J. Or at least get lighter sanctions.

"Yes, there is a possibility, you can lobby for requests," said Muradi.
