JAKARTA - The motive behind the persecution experienced by Karina Ranau has finally been revealed. Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Mansur revealed that the perpetrator was upset because he felt that he was not served quickly when buying food at Karina's stall.

"According to the statement from the suspect, there is a feeling of 'why did I buy the same food that was not served, while others could be served?'. Because there are online and offline purchases," said Kompol Mansur in South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 7.

Mansur explained that at that time Karina prioritized online orders according to the policy of his business, but the perpetrator who bought it directly did not receive it.

"The person concerned is through offline, the one who is served first is the one who is online. That is the policy of the mother as the owner of the canteen," he added.

Funny, the perpetrator didn't realize at all that the woman he yelled at and abused was the owner of the stall. Karina said that at the time of the incident, she was indeed appearing simple.

"What I heard, he said that at the time of the incident he didn't know that I was the owner. He said he thought I was the mother who worked at the warung, who took care of the warung," said Karina Ranau.

Karina's status as a stall owner made the perpetrator look down on her.

"Maybe he didn't know I was the owner because at that time I was still sweeping, I was sweeping in front of the stall while cleaning up," recalled Karina.

The police ensured that the perpetrator was in a full state of consciousness when committing the act of violence.

"When we secure the perpetrator in a healthy condition, there is no smell of alcohol and he is aware that he made a mistake," explained the Police Chief.

Although the perpetrator admitted his mistake, Kompol Mansur regretted the perpetrator's attitude who did not show good faith to apologize personally.

"The only weakness is why don't you apologize, we love you don't apologize directly to the mother as the victim," he said.

The perpetrator himself was arrested shortly after the video of the incident went viral on social media.

"As soon as we saw that there was a viral in the Pancoran neighborhood, we immediately took steps to arrest and trace the address," said Mansur.

Now, the legal process continues and Karina's party has prepared key witnesses.

"There are also quite a lot of witnesses, more than five people, who we will present four people on Thursday," concluded Karina's lawyer, Hendro Widodo.
