"The Indonesian Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the confirmation of the presence of the UN Secretary-General at the G20 Summit later. Foreign Minister Retno also conveyed the importance of the G20 Summit to produce concrete cooperation that is beneficial for the world," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement Monday, September 19.
"The Indonesian Foreign Minister explained about the preparations for the G20 Summit in Bali from 15-16 November 2022," continued the ministry.
On the occasion, the Indonesian Foreign Minister and the Secretary-General of the United Nations also discussed various global issues that were of common concern. In addition, the Indonesian Foreign Minister also exchanged ideas about Myanmar's development. "The Secretary General of the United Nations has reiterated his support for the 5PC ASEAN. Indonesia's communication and coordination with the United Nations will be more intensive considering that Indonesia will become Chair of ASEAN in 2023," wrote the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
