JAKARTA - At least four explosions hit an area near Russia's main military airport on the Crimean peninsula on Thursday, three local sources said, while pro-Moscow officials said no damage had been done.
Sources said the explosion occurred in the vicinity of the Belbek (air) base, north of Sevastopol.
Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev, citing what he called preliminary information, said Russian anti-aircraft forces had downed a Ukrainian drone.
"There was no damage. No one was hurt," Mikhail Razvozhayev said, writing on Telegram.
Meanwhile, footage uploaded to a Ukrainian news gathering site shows what appears to be a rocket being fired into the night sky and the sound of at least two explosions. Reuters could not immediately verify the authenticity of the tape.
Earlier, Russia accused acts of sabotage when a series of explosions occurred in Crimean ammunition depots on Tuesday.
