JAKARTA - Brigadier J's family lawyer, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, has asked for another independent team to investigate the actions of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Kamaruddin questioned Ferdy Sambo's abundant wealth.

"Do you see how much money he has, how many Lexus he has? Where does the money come from, how much is the salary of the Police's Professional and Security Division Headquarters", said Kamaruddin, Monday, August 15.

"Ask the president and the DPR, did you give this salary, Ferdy Sambo, why does he have a lot of houses, a lot of money, then his car, many Lexus cars. Then how come he said his wife was shaken, sick, stressed but how could she bribe -bribing people", explained Kamaruddin.

There is no Ferdy Sambo LHKPN at the KPK

The Management Wealth Report (LHKPN) of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was not recorded at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The reason is that the report he submitted was not complete until now.

"KPK has received (the report, ed) LHKPN on behalf of the person concerned (Ferdy Sambo, ed) for the 2021 reporting year. However, there are complete documents that still need to be completed", said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention, Ipi Maryati Kuding, last August 10.

This is why the public cannot access Ferdy's total wealth. In fact, every state administrator should report his wealth and the amount can be accessed by the public through the e-LHKPN site.

"So (Ferdy Sambo's wealth report, ed) cannot be published on the e-LHKPN site", said Ipi.

Request an independent team

That's why Kamaruddin asked to form an independent team immediately. Even if necessary to involve PPATK.

"So maybe this huge amount of money with information about IDR 800 billion- IDR 1 trillion per month is flowing far. Why do all these state institutions turn a blind eye? Could it be that all state institutions have been held hostage by the mafia", said Kamaruddin.

"That's why we have to save these institutions from the mafia. Especially the police, we have to save them from mafia attacks", he continued.

Kamaruddin also asked Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to check all accounts of Ferdy Sambo's aides. Even Kamaruddin admitted that he had information that there was someone who had limited speech but had a fat account.

"There are people who can't talk, but they are suspected of having fat accounts at BCA. Why on behalf of people who can't speak, so that they are asked for information, they can't reveal them, because they can't talk", he said.
