Selling Trinkets For The 77th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia, Traders' Turnover In Tangerang Reaches IDR 5 Million A Day

BANTEN - Sellers of red and white flags and trinkets celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in Tangerang Regency, Banten, were able to reap a profit of IDR 5 million in a day.

Asep, one of the sellers of trinkets celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia from Leles District, Garut Regency, West Java, admitted that in a day he could earn a profit of IDR 2 million to IDR 5 million.

"If it's a day, you can get IDR 2 million, but if it is crowded, it can reach IDR 5 million from selling Indonesian Independence Day flags and banners," Asep said in Tangerang, quoted from Antara, Sunday, August 14.

He said that from some of the current sales results, many messages from the public to office agencies such as urban villages, sub-districts, and government offices.

"In addition to buyers who come directly to the stalls, we also receive orders from the village office, sub-district and agencies," he said.

Some of the types of flags and knick-knacks sold by Asep include flags for houses and vehicles, bandits, banners, and background decorations.

Each type of knick-knacks celebrating the 77th Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day that he sells has various prices, ranging from as low as IDR 5 thousand as accessories, to IDR 400 thousand as the type of background.

"And the most popular is the type of pennant that sells, it can sell one kodi in a season. We bring all of our goods from Garut, which we produce ourselves," he said.

He said that for 12 years selling red and white flag knick-knacks in the Tangerang Regency area, he was able to earn a turnover of up to IDR 50 million per season.

"In 2021, in the last season, our turnover reached IDR 50 million, but for this year it is up to IDR 40 million because there is a decrease in buyers from the community," he said.
