Puan Maharani: Don't Let Anyone Cover Up Brigadier J .'s Murder Case

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, has urged the National Police to immediately resolve the shooting case that killed Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J at the shelter of the former Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

Puan also reminded that the alleged premeditated murder case should be resolved in a transparent manner. Moreover, said Puan, this case has attracted a lot of public attention.

"Let no party try to obscure or even cover up cases that have become public attention," said Puan in her statement, Tuesday, August 9.

Because it involves the loss of a person's life, the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture asked the National Police to work professionally in resolving this case.

"At the same time solving wild issues that are now widely circulated in the community," said Puan.

He said a lot would be at stake for the Police if the resolution of the case of Brigadier J's death was not carried out professionally. Because he said, the community has really monitored how the Police solve this case.

"It will set a bad precedent if this issue is not properly resolved. And the impact will cause public distrust of the Police," said Puan.

Puan also stated that the DPR will continue to monitor developments in the investigation of the case. He emphasized that the settlement of this case must be carried out fairly according to applicable law.

"With the completion of this case, the National Police can refocus on their main task of maintaining public security and order as well as serving the community," said Puan.
