JAYAPURA - The Jayapura City Government (Pemkot) has banned the circulation of charity boxes brought by children. They brought a charity box with the intention of asking for help.

Head of the Jayapura City Social Service, Irawadi, regrets that there are still people who employ minors to run charity boxes around business places.

"The Jayapura City Ministry of Religion has also given a warning because this method is wrong, let alone employing children who are still in school", he said in Jayapura, Papua, Thursday, August 4.

According to him, it is not permissible for children to become victims of exploitation by adults. He said if you want to get help, you can apply to the government so that a method is prepared.

"For example, the charity box is placed in a place of business such as a shop or crowded places, it is better", he said.

Thus, his party appealed to all parties to no longer employ children who are still in school to run charity boxes.

"Poor to them, this is the wrong way, so it's better not to use another method", he said.

In the future, his party will pay attention to immediately taking concrete steps so that the circulation of charity boxes brought by children does not appear in Jayapura City.
