DENPASAR - Circulating information on plans to reopen international flights to and from Bali. Secretary of Bali Dewa Made Indra said the plan to open international flights was still under study.

"That's just a study, we'll report it to the governor, to the central government. That is just the level of study among officials. It has not been a decision yet, ”Dewa Made Indra told reporters, Monday, November 9.

The opening of international flights to Bali, according to Made Indra, is indeed important for moving the economy. But all must be evaluated for their readiness.

"Do not let the case be opened and there is an escalation of cases, so we will get not benefits but losses because that is the preparation we will continue," he continued.

Made Indra emphasized that this study was also carried out by the central government involving the Ministry of Health, BNPB and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The studies from several parties will later be concluded as a decision.

"All these studies will be taken to the leadership level. If it's the governor in the regions, maybe the president at the center, ”said Dewa.

The Provincial Government of Bali previously opened domestic flights to Bali after being stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestic tourist arrivals then began on July 31.
