COVID-19 Update As Of July 4th: New Cases 1,434, Active Cases 16,476

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 70,228 specimens were examined with the results of 1,434 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,095,351 people and active cases have increased by 443 to 16,476 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, July 4.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,868 cases, bringing the total to 5,922,114 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 9 died and a total of 156,758 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 737 cases and a total of 1,273,494 cases. Followed by West Java with 255 new cases with a total of 1,113,503 cases. Banten has 179 new cases and a total of 297,935 cases. Then, East Java with 92 new cases and a total of 578,487 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,139 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 267 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 290 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 120 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 101,079,822.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.35 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,215 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,589,600 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,168,497. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 51,112,102. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
