BANGLI - The man with the initials IWP (39) who stole a bag containing money and the Motor Vehicle Owner's Book (BPKB) in Bangli, Bali, was arrested by the police. This vegetable vendor hid the stolen bag between the banana trees.

The theft took place in the parking area east of the Kayuambua Market, Tiga Village, Susut District, Bangli Regency, Bali, Thursday, June 23.

"He (the perpetrator) is also a vegetable trader. But the distance is a bit far from the victim's (trade)", said AKP I Nyoman Edi Suarya, Head of the Shrinking Police Sector, Friday, June 24.

At the time of the incident, the victim, who started selling at around 03.00 WITA, Thursday, June 23, only realized that her bag in the pickup was gone when she wanted to give her change.

"The victim suffered a loss of approximately IDR 3,500,000. Regarding the incident, the victim reported to the Shrinkage Police for further handling", said AKP Suarya.

Based on the report, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator at his home in Sekardadi Village, Kintamani District, Bangli, Bali.

During the examination, the perpetrator admitted to stealing a bag containing money and BPKB. The bag was hidden between a tree, 300 meters from Kayuambua Market.

Meanwhile, IDR 1,285,000 was taken by the perpetrators to be used for daily needs. The perpetrator took the bag into the car through the open car window.

"The bag was placed in a banana tree containing BPKB to be hidden. The motive was to fulfill daily needs. According to his confession, he had only done this once", said AKP Suarya.
