General Dudung's Policy Response To Giving Milk To Army Soldiers, Anwar Abbas: If It's Halal, We Support

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Anwar Abbas, supports the policy of Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman, which prioritizes the welfare of TNI soldiers, through the distribution of soldiers' milk.

According to Anwar, the distribution of soldiers' milk to soldiers and civil servants (PNS) within the Indonesian Army can increase their nutrition, energy, and energy in maintaining Indonesia's defense.

Even so, he reminded, that the milk given was confirmed to be halal certified.

"If it's halal, it can be consumed. Then, it is not only halal, it is also necessary to make sure it is tayib (good) or not. If it is halal and tayib, we support it. Thus, it will be able to make our army more energetic and powerful," said Anwar, Wednesday, May 25.

Abbas hopes that if the Indonesian Army budget is sufficient, the soldiers' milk distribution program should not only become an annual program but also become a daily program.

“From a budget perspective, if there is a budget and can implement it, that's good. If possible, share it every day," he said, quoted from Antara.

He also hopes that all elements of the Indonesian nation will support the soldiers' milk distribution program carried out by Chief Dudung.

“All elements need to support this program because our soldiers must be soldiers who are healthy, strong, and have common sense. The way to make common sense is to get enough nutrition and eat it. We support Mr. Dudung's move," said Anwar.

Similar appreciation and support were also conveyed by the Head of Rekat Indonesia Raya, Eka Gumilar.

According to Eka, Dudung's move to distribute soldiers' milk to TNI (Army) soldiers is an attempt to protect and defend all forms of potential threats to the Republic of Indonesia.

"We don't want our TNI soldiers to be weak. The program for distributing soldiers' milk to TNI soldiers is a form of Mr. Dudung's loyalty and love for the Indonesian state," he said.
