Anies' Message To The Next Governor Of DKI: Pay Attention To The Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswdan has a special message for the DKI Governor who will replace him in the coming period.

Anies said that the next DKI leader is expected to pay more attention to the Thousand Islands so that development can be on par with other Jakarta administrative cities.

"We hope that whoever will manage Jakarta will place the Thousand Islands as an important part to pay attention to and grow," said Anies in the Thousand Islands, Tuesday, May 24.

Anies reminded again that the DKI Jakarta area is not only land on the island of Java but also islands located in the north of Java Island.

Unfortunately, so far, the price of basic needs for residents in the Thousand Islands is often more expensive than other cities due to logistical constraints that are more difficult to reach.

However, while in office, Anies provided a wholesale market that sold basic necessities for the people of the Thousand Islands at more affordable prices.

"What is being built here? A kind of wholesale market, so that traders in the Thousand Islands don't need to wholesale to Kramat Jati (Pasar) or wholesale to mainland Java. They can get it here because Pasar Jaya provides a wholesale market that costs the same as in Jakarta," explained Anies.

Then, Anies has also built a clean water supply system by desalination to convert seawater into freshwater, namely Sea Water Refresh Osmosis (SWRO).

"There is clean water, SWRO, where seawater is processed so that it becomes clean water used by residents," said Anies.

Then, Anies claimed to have tried to provide evenly distributed electrical energy for inhabited islands in the Thousand Islands. As well as, the construction of sewage and wastewater disposal systems.

"Then, of course, health education, we have given great attention to the thousand islands for the past few years," Anies continued.
