Alamsyah said that on Saturday there were 92 COVID-19 patients who had been declared cured and allowed to return to their respective homes.

"In the last week, since last Sunday until today, 379 people have been declared cured," he said.

Even though the number of recovered patients is increasing, he continued, the number of COVID-19 cases is still increasing.

"Today there are the addition of 41 new positive cases. In the past week there have been a total of 172 new positive cases. We are continuing to carry out tracking, screening, and mass swab tests to break the chain of virus spread," he said.

The accumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Bekasi Regency is 3,663 cases with details of 3,453 patients who have recovered, 51 patients have died, 60 patients are hospitalized, and 99 people are undergoing quarantine.

According to Alamsyah, 29 of the 60 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized and 22 of the 99 people who were undergoing quarantine in isolation facilities had been allowed to return to their respective homes after the results showed that they were free from coronavirus infection.

He again reminded residents to be disciplined in carrying out health protocols to avoid transmission of the corona virus.
