JAKARTA - The Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman admitted that he would again be questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday, May 17 tomorrow. He will be examined as a witness to the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU) which ensnared the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono.

"My schedule for the KPK examination is tomorrow Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:00 western Indonesia time," said Boyamin in a written statement to reporters quoted on Monday, May 16.

Boyamin admitted that he had not received a summons. However, he will still take the initiative to attend because he has received information regarding the schedule for his examination of him.

The information was obtained from his own activity in asking.

"I will still be present even though I do not receive a summons," he said.

Moreover, previously, Boyamin was declared absent from the first examination. In fact, at that time he did not receive a summons as a witness to the alleged money laundering offense committed by Budhi.

"So now we have to be active (ask, ed) rather than being late again," he said.

As previously reported, Boyamin Saiman was previously summoned by the KPK on Monday, April 25. However, he did not attend because he felt he had not received a summons from the investigator.

However, Boyamin's statement was later denied by the Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri. Ali said the summons had been sent last week.

"The team sent the summons last week, Thursday, April 21, 2022," Ali said in a written statement to reporters, Monday, April 25.

For his absence, KPK investigators will recall Boyamin. He is expected to attend because he is suspected of knowing what Budhi Sarwono did.

The KPK has named Budhi Sarwono as a suspect in the money laundering crime (TPPU). The decision was made after investigators developed a bribery case at the PUPR Service and the gratification that ensnared him some time ago.

In this case, Budi is alleged to have hidden his wealth from the two corruption crimes and converted it into assets in the form of movable or immovable property. In addition, the KPK has confiscated assets worth IDR 10 billion.

Boyamin Saiman had previously admitted that he was indeed a director at PT Bumi Redjo, a company owned by the family of the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono. Boyamin entered the company formally in 2018.

"My job is to take care of debts and receivables," said Boyamin, last Tuesday, April 26.

PT Bumi Redjo is now in a state of bankruptcy because it is in debt which, based on its calculations, reaches around IDR 57 billion. This condition has occurred since 2014 so that Budhi's parents, namely Sugeng Budhiarto, took over the company.

"So I made sure I wanted to join this company because Budhi Sarwono wasn't there. If he was forced to join the tender, he couldn't participate because his performance couldn't be due to bad credit," he explained.
