Ganjar Pranowo Trains 6 Thousands Of People With Disabilities In Pekalongan For Entrepreneurship

JAKARTA - People with disabilities in Pekalongan Regency specifically asked Ganjar Pranowo to increase business and marketing training for people with disabilities. They want to be able to live more independently.

Endang Tri Murti, a representative of persons with disabilities, suggested that their groups, especially those from Jaruksari Village (Tirto District) and Pecakaran Village (Wonokerto) receive business training.

"Training is prioritized for those with disabilities in Jeruksari and Pecakaran, to make presto milkfish," said Endang at the Pekalongan Regency Government Pendapa, as in a written statement, Thursday, April 21.

The proposal for business training for people with disabilities in the two villages is because the location where they live is a customer of rob. When the rob occurred, the environment where he lived was affected.

“Ask for facilitation of product marketing. Previously, Alhamdulillah, the Governor responded very well, in the near future he will provide training, "said the head of the Pekalongan Regency Indonesian Association of People with Physical Disabilities (PPDFI).

He also hopes that there will be product marketing training, so that people with disabilities can live independently, especially those of productive age. Moreover, the number of people with disabilities in Pekalongan Regency, reached 6,546 people.

“(Training participants) We are looking for those of productive age. So that I can at least support myself, and be able to reach out to my family,” he added.

Endang also proposed the existence of a community-based disability assistant, especially for Pekalongan Regency, where currently there is only one mentor. Whereas in Pekalongan Regency there are 19 sub-districts.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said his party immediately asked for the telephone number of the disability representative to be followed up, namely MSME training.

“Gather, approximately how many people with disabilities are there, where are they located, for what training. If you are confused, we start the assessment first," said Ganjar during the dialogue.

Ganjar said that his party will provide training so that their products are classy, including selling them online in the marketplace. So that the product is more suitable to be sold in the market.

At this year's Musrenbang, apart from accepting proposals for infrastructure development, his party focused on economic recovery and post-pandemic poverty alleviation.
