PONTIANAK - The Pontianak Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) together with the Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry and Trade (Diskumindag) of West Kalimantan Province conducted a sample test examination of various food products and takjil foods at the Juadah Mujahidin Market and Kampong Ramadhan Kreatif. "During this month of Ramadan, inspections have been going on for two weeks at several centers to test the suitability of food and beverages for consumption," said Head of BPOM Pontianak, Fauzi Ferdiansyah in Pontianak, Friday, April 15. He explained that there are four categories of hazardous ingredients in food. namely, formalin, borax, Rhodamin B, and methanyl yellow. "In Juadah Market there were 22 food samples tested and the results were all negative. Some of the sample test results that had been carried out previously were also negative," he said as quoted by Antara. When conducting an inspection at the Creative Ramadhan Market, eight samples were tested and the results were all negative. However, there are six packaged products that have not been registered with the BPOM so that these products are secured first until they wait for clarification on the product.
