You Should Know! Now Travelers In All Modes Of Transportation Are Required To Fill In E-HAC

JAKARTA - The Chief of Digital Transformation Office of the Ministry of Health Setiaji announced that travelers or travelers in all modes of transportation are currently required to fill out an electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) before departure.

Previously, filling out e-HAC on domestic or domestic trips was only required for airplane passengers.

This, said Setiaji, following up on the Circular (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation Number 39 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Rail Transportation During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

"With the issuance of the Circular Letter (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation No. 36-38 of 2022, people who will travel back and forth, both by land, sea, and air transportation modes, must fill out e-HAC as a condition to continue the journey," Setiaji said in his statement, Wednesday, April 13.

So, starting from now until the Lebaran homecoming season, officers in all transportation modes will check the status of travel eligibility via e-HAC that has been filled in by travelers a day or just before traveling.

Meanwhile, specifically for travelers traveling with private vehicles, a random inspection system will be applied.

"Although random checks are applied, travelers using private cars or motorbikes are advised to continue to fill out e-HAC as a shared responsibility to avoid a spike in COVID-19 cases in various regions," Setiaji said.

Here's how to fill out e-HAC for domestic travelers:

1. Download the latest version of the Cares Protect application
2. Create a new account or log in if you already have a PeduliLindungi account
3. Click the “e-HAC” feature, then select “Create e-HAC”
4. Select “Domestic” for domestic travelers
5. Select the means of travel being boarded
6. Select departure date
7. For land and sea transportation, fill in the information regarding the type of vehicle, location, origin, and destination of the trip
8. Especially for the mode of air transportation, fill in the flight number
9. If the flight number is not found, fill in the flight data manually by selecting the name of the airline, airport of departure, and destination
10. Make sure the information is correct, then click “Continue”
11. The contents of "Personal Data", can be filled in a maximum of 4 people at once
12. Then you can check your eligibility to travel. If deemed eligible, select save the information that you have previously filled in.
13. After that, select “Confirm” and you are done.

If the traveler gets the 'unfit to travel' status, manual validation can be done by showing the vaccine certificate and antigen or RT-PCR test results at PeduliLindung or physical documents to officers at airports, ports, stations, and terminals.
