Bekasi Regency Establishes 17 Security Posts For Eid Homecoming 2022

BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government has prepared 17 security posts to face the Eid Al-Fitr 2022 homecoming moment. The posts will be distributed at a number of traffic density nodes.

"The plan is to build 17 monitoring posts and two service posts to safeguard the homecoming flow during the month of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri," said acting Bekasi Regent Akhmad Marjuki in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Wednesday, April 6.

He said the security scheme was aimed at anticipating the high mobility of the community during this year's Lebaran homecoming season, while matters related to technical implementation were still being discussed together.

"This security needs to be increased and tightened again considering that we are still at Level 2 of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and we must also anticipate the high mobility of people traveling back and forth," he said.

The Bekasi Regency Government will involve all levels of regional apparatus such as the Transportation Service, Civil Service Police (Satpol PP), Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and the Health Office. They will synergize with elements of the National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) in maintaining the smooth flow of homecoming as well as securing the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Marjuki asked all the teams who will be assigned later to be able to carry out their duties well, and to be morally and socially responsible.

"For those who will be on duty, it is not only an obligation but also a duty to be morally and socially responsible for fellow human beings. Besides us carrying out our duties to help the TNI and Polri, this can be a charity and a field of reward for us," he said.

Bekasi Metro Police Chief Commissioner of Police Gidion Arif Setyawan said securing the homecoming flow would be further coordinated with the regional government, including technical and preparation for the upcoming diamond operation.

His party is currently continuing to make a number of efforts to maintain the conduciveness of the Holy Month of Ramadan so that residents can worship quietly and smoothly.

Such as controlling the use of roads at a number of points, anticipating and securing sahur activities on the streets, to monitoring residents who set off fireworks.

"We have to anticipate many things in order to maintain public security and order, especially during this fasting period so that residents can also carry out their worship smoothly during the fasting month," he said.

The Commander of Kodim 0509 Bekasi Regency, Lt. Col. Inf. M. Horison, stated that he fully supports the activities of the Bekasi Metro Police in order to maintain the safety and comfort of the community so that the implementation of worship in the month of Ramadan is conducive.
