Kremlin Does Not Want To Listen To Russian Explanations About Bucha: The West Is Turning A Blind Eye

JAKARTA - Russia has systematically explained its position on the situation in Bucha, but Western countries have blindfolded their eyes and ears, refusing to listen, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Tuesday.

He noted that Russia had previously explained its position systematically through the Ambassador to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia and the Ministry of Defense.

"The information was conveyed. But, on the other hand, there is an impression that the Western collective just blindfolds its eyes and ears and doesn't want to listen to anything," Peskov said, according to TASS, April 6.

"Unfortunately, this is the reality, (but), despite all that, we still intend to actively promote our argument," continued Dmitry Peskov.

Commenting on a possible investigation into Bucha's situation, the spokesperson stated, "it is necessary to consider, how likely is a truly impartial, impartial and neutral investigation at this time."

"We continue to insist that all accusations against Russia, against the Russian military are not only unfounded, but a well-directed show is nothing but a tragic show," Peskov stressed.

According to the spokesman, the entire progress of events, a large amount of information, facts, and other parameters clearly prove that the situation in Bucha is a fabrication, designed to smear the Russian army.

"They will not succeed; we once again call on, first and foremost, members of the UN Security Council, Western leaders to refrain from emotional perceptions, based on nothing, and only to think rationally and try to juxtapose the facts, to understand this type of fabrication. terrible what we are talking about," said a Kremlin spokesman.

He also noted that Russian diplomats were continuing their efforts to pass information on to the United Nations.

“Our diplomats are working at the UN, work continues. You know that our work is being undermined in an unprecedented way, our initiatives are blocked, but, despite this, we will not stand idly by," concluded Peskov.

The Russian Ministry of Defense denies Kyiv's accusations of killing civilians in the city of Bucha, Kyiv Region on April 3. The ministry said Russian troops had completely left Bucha by March 30. Meanwhile, 'evidence of crime' only emerged four days later, when officers of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) arrived in Bucha.

The Ministry of Defense also underlined that, on March 31, Bucha Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk confirmed there were no Russian troops in the city, without mentioning any civilians who had been shot.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the situation in Bucha a "fake news attack." On Monday, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vassily Nebenzia held an emergency press conference after Britain, who currently chairs the UN Security Council, rejected Russia's request for meetings in Bucha twice in one day.

During the press conference, Russian diplomats presented video footage made in Bucha immediately after the withdrawal of Russian troops, there were no bodies on the streets.
