Good News, Confirmed Case Of COVID-19 In Lingga Regency, Only One Person Left

KEPRI - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 reported a positive confirmed case of COVID-19 in Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province (Kepri), only one person left. This figure is the lowest compared to other districts and cities in Riau Islands.

A spokesman for the Riau Islands COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Tjetjep Yudiana, said the increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in Lingga was also not significant, although in other regencies and cities, it began to increase sharply from January to early March 2022.

"Lingga is the longest surviving district as a green zone or zero active cases from October 2021 to January 2022," said the former Head of the Riau Islands Health Office in Tanjungpinang, Friday, April 1, as reported by Antara.

Until now, he said Lingga was designated as a Yellow Zone or low risk of transmission. The phallus has never been designated an Orange Zone or a moderate risk of transmission this year.

"We appreciate the hard work of the Lingga Government and the community in preventing the transmission of COVID-19," he said.

Tjetjep said the number of active cases was the second-lowest in Anambas Regency. The number of active cases in Anambas has increased by two to 10 people.

While Batam City ranks third with 33 active cases, followed by Karimun Regency 44 people. While active cases in Natuna Regency reached 67 people, and Bintan Regency 71 people.

"The number of active cases in Tanjungpinang City is 134 people, the highest in Riau Islands," he said.

The COVID-19 Task Force has designated Tanjungpinang and Natuna as Orange Zones, while Anambas, Batam Karimun and Bintan are Yellow Zones.

The number of patients who have died from COVID-19 has increased by three. They are residents of Bintan, Karimun and Lingga.

The total number of patients who died from COVID-19 in Riau Islands since the pandemic has reached 1.893 people, spread in Tanjungpinang 430 people, Batam 905 people, Bintan 200 people, Karimun 176 people, Lingga 49 people, Anambas 88 people, and Natuna 45 people.

"The Riau Islands have started a normal life, marked by reducing social restriction policies to improve the regional economy and society. In line with that, the Riau Islands people must be ready, consistently implement health protocols, and support vaccination programs," he said.
