The Arrest Of Two Papuan KKB Members, Brimob T-shirts And Ammunition As Evidence

JAKARTA - The Cartenz Damai Ops Law Enforcement Task Force seized several pieces of evidence behind the arrests of two members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Toni Tabuni and Kais Tabuni. One of them was a pair of socks that said Brimob.

"(Evidence, red) One pair of striped socks that read Brimob", said Head of the Public Relations Cartenz Damai Ops Task Force, Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in his statement, Wednesday, March 30.

However, there was no further detail about Toni or Kais who were the owners of the socks.

It was only explained that several other items of evidence confiscated were in the form of 20 rounds of cal.5.56 ammunition and various types of clothing such as jackets, pants, and shirts.

Kamal also explained that in the process of arresting Toni Tabuni in Siriwin, Nabire Regency, officers were forced to take firm action. Because he fought back.

"The Cartenz Damai Ops Law Enforcement Task Force took decisive action which resulted in the suspect's death", he said.

The arrest of Toni Tabuni for his alleged involvement in a series of attacks. One of them was the shooting of the Head of Regional State Intelligence Agency Lt. Gen. (P) TNI I Gusti Putu Dani Nugraha in Beoga District on April 25, 2021.

"Involved in the shooting action against the Head of Papua Regional State Intelligence Agency", said Kamal.

Then, Toni is also suspected of being involved in the shooting of two COVID-19 Task Force officers on behalf of Alemalik Bagau and Heniko Somau in Intan Jaya on May 22, 2020. His figure is also said to have been involved in the theft of three SS1 and AK47 firearms.

As for Kais Tabuni (25), this man is suspected of helping Toni in his series of crimes.

On the other hand, Kamal also emphasized that the situation in Nabire Regency is conducive. Indonesian Army-National Police officers continue to be on standby to ensure the safety of the community.
