JAKARTA - The Garut Resort Police have arrested three perpetrators of cases of vandalism and abuse of mothers and children in Samarang District, Garut Regency, West Java.
"In connection with the incident, the Samarang Police have secured the suspect for further investigation," said Samarang Police Chief, Commissioner of Police Jajang, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 24.
Jajang said that the three suspects in the persecution case had the initials YM (37), DC (45), and AM (35) residents of Garut, with the victims initials SM and daughter RH, residents of Bongkor Village, Cinta Rakyat Village, Samarang District.
The police chief said that the three people would be charged with Article 170 sub 351, sub 406 regarding torture and vandalism with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison. "The maximum penalty is seven years in prison," he said.
