Monstera Type Ornamental Plants Stolen By Thieves, Losses Reaches IDR 100 Million

SOUTH TANGERANG - A video recorded by CCTV shows the theft of dozens of ornamental plants at the Villa Gunung Lestari Housing, Ciputat, South Tangerang City (Tangsel). As a result of the theft, the victim suffered hundreds of millions of losses.

Shop worker Wahyu (19) said that the theft occurred on Monday, March 21, at 00.49 western Indonesia time.

He said the perpetrator entered through the wall of his house. They entered the shop by cutting the net and immediately jumped into the yard.

At that time, an actor immediately took action by taking a number of pots containing the monstera variegata ornamental plant.

"We just realized this morning, we were playing around and around in a mess, he tore off the fence covering. About 20 pots filled with monstera flowers were taken," said Wahyu.

Wahyu explained that he suffered a loss of up to IDR 100 million. Because the plants that are taken are expensive types.

"Because there are various kinds that are taken, some are big, some are small, so they are mixed with ornamental plants," he said
