JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, admitted that he did not know when the DKI Jakarta Education and Sports Agency first borrowed money or bonded money to Bank DKI for the implementation of Formula E.

“Yes, there is an approval for the plan, but regarding the budget, it is discussed in the budget agency. Now in the discussion of the budget agency, before it becomes a regional regulation, borrow the Education and Sports Agency from Bank DKI", said Prasetyo after giving information to KPK investigators at the KPK Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 22.

The money borrowed by the DKI Jakarta Education and Sports Agency to Bank DKI reached Rp180 billion. Prasetyo said that the legislators in Kebon Sirih initially did not know about the loan.

This is because the entire budget before being submitted to the budget agency has been discussed first at the Education and Sports Agency. "No, we don't know. It's all about their budget", he said.

As a complement to his statement, Prasetyo emphasized that his party had brought several documents. Including a letter from Education and Sports Agency which was later answered by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan with Governor's Instruction Number 77 of 2019 concerning Support in Preparation for the Implementation of Formula E Activities in 2020.

For information, in the letter, Anies requested that the financing of support for the implementation of Formula E be charged to the Youth and Sports Office's Budget Implementation Document (DPA) for the 2019 Fiscal Year.

"The document is Education and Sports Agency's letter to the governor which was answered by the governor's instructions", said Prasetyo.

As previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of Formula E. Several officials have been summoned to investigate the allegations.

They are the Head of the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate, Syaefulloh Hidayat; former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, Dino Pati Djalal; to the Chair and Deputy Chair of Commission E of the DKI DPRD, namely Iman Satria and Anggara Wicitra. Meanwhile, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, has been asked for information twice.
