Central Jakarta Becomes Area Of Top Health Protocol Violators, Followed By Bekasi

JAKARTA - The area of Central Jakarta is the area where the health protocol violates the highest compared to other regions. It is known from the Justisi operation that was carried out during the PSBB week.

"The highest in the Central Jakarta area is to take action (against) 3,419 (people)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Monday, September 21.

Meanwhile, other regions with the highest number of violators include Bekasi and East Jakarta. But it was not explained in detail regarding the number of prosecution

"Then there is Bekasi area which is quite high. Then also East Jakarta, which is the three highest," he said.

Then, the total prosecution of the joint team from the National Police, Satpol PP, Dishub, the Attorney General's Office, and the Court was 46,134 people. With details of sanctions for 22,885 reprimands, 22,576 social sanctions, and about 1,890 administrative sanctions.

"The total value of fines that have been received by the Regional Government (Pemda) of DKI Jakarta is Rp280,501,500," he said.

As previously reported, the Presidential Spokesperson for Legal Affairs Dini Purwono asked the public not to consider the justisi health protocol operation as a repressive measure. He said, this operation was held to increase public awareness in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The government asks the public not to consider the justisi operation of the health protocol as part of repressive measures. Moreover, in its implementation, the government also cooperates with community organizations, religious leaders and community leaders to help enforce health protocols in society and communities," said Dini.

According to him, enforcement of this discipline is important because the key to controlling COVID-19 starts from implementing protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, and diligently washing hands.

"The public must realize that they are the spearhead in efforts to control this," he said.
