This Is Didi Soekarno's Comment When Hasto Kristiyanto Eats His Case With Bung Karno's Struggle

Didi Soekarno spoke up, responding to the statement of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who considered himself a KPK suspect in a bribery case similar to the story of the Indonesian Proclaimer Soekarno.

As previously reported, Hasto Kristiyanto was named a suspect by the KPK in connection with the bribery case and dragged the name of Harun Masiku, who is currently a fugitive.

Didi Soekarno, who is Bung Karno's grandson, felt that the Hasto Kristiyanto case was inappropriate if it was equated with Bung Karno's noble struggle during the colonial period until he was finally imprisoned in the Netherlands.

"Hasto Kristiyanto's actions have hurt feelings not only Bung Karno's extended family, but also all Indonesian people with his statement," said the son of the late Rachmawati Soekarnoputri to reporters recently.

For Didi Soekarno, the case against Hasto Kristiyanto, namely the alleged bribery, is an embarrassing and inappropriate case if it is said to be similar to what happened to Bung Karno.

"The Indonesian people are Bung Karno's ideological sons and daughters, so Bung Karno is willing to be imprisoned and sacrifice his body for the sake of the Indonesian people in achieving independence," said Didi further.

For Didi Soekarno, his grandfather did not belong to his family, certain political parties and even a group of people.

"Bung Karno belongs to the Indonesian people. Therefore, if today Bung Karno as the Father of the Nation, the symbol of the state, and the property of the Indonesian people is lowered to dignity and authority, then it is only natural that the Indonesian people criticize Hasto massively because it includes insults to the Father of the Nation," said Didi further.

This statement is Didi Soekarno's support for the actions of a number of people who held a demonstration in front of the KPK's Red and White Building, rejecting Hasto's statement on Monday, December 30, 2024.

Didi Soekarno is also concerned that Bung Karno's family did not feel any disappointment with Hasto Kristiyanto's statement.

"Even the Indonesian people who were injured by Hasto Kristiyanto's statement took to the streets and voiced protests on social media, instead Bung Karno's family remained silent and seemed to protect Hasto Kristiyanto who had been named a KPK suspect," said Didi Soekarno.

"The protests of the public that are widely voiced on social media prove that Hasto Kristiyanto's statement is very disturbing," added Didi Soekarno.

Didi Soekarno also needs to answer questions from netizens regarding his whereabouts, who until now have never joined the PDIP led by Megawati Soekarnoputri, who is his own aunt.

"Why am I not in the bull, the answer is easy. I've never been in that party because of my rights," said Didi with a smile.

As has been widely reported by the media, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was named a suspect by the KPK regarding the bribery case involving Harun Masiku. However, the KPK has not yet detained Hasto.
