Serang City Police Leveled Up, This Is Banten Police's Explanation

SERANG - Serang City Police in the near future will experience an increase in type from Type D (Resort Police) to Type C (City Resort Police), in accordance with the Letter of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Number B/42/M.KT.01/2022 dated 11 January 2022 which was signed by the Minister of PAN RB, Tjahjo Kumolo.

Along with the letter, there were 4 other Polres who were also upgraded, from the Chief of Police with the rank of Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police (AKBP) to Grand Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol).

In connection with the increase in the type, the Banten Police Chief through the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police Kombes Pol Shinto Silitonga said that the increase in the Serang City Police type was an effort by the Police to meet the dynamics of public expectations in terms of police services.

"Along with the increasing needs and expectations of the community for police services, the Banten Police have proposed an increase in the type of Serang City Police, which since the beginning of 2022 has received approval according to the PAN-RB Ministerial Letter," said Shinto Silitonga in his statement, Wednesday, February 16.

The Banten Police, of course, immediately prepared the composition of personnel and prepared other organizational resource plans such as facilities and infrastructure as well as the budget needed to support the operation of the Serang City Police.

"With the increase in the type of Serang City Police, of course, additional personnel, facilities and infrastructure, and budget are needed, so the planning needs to be carefully prepared," said Shinto Silitonga.

The Serang City Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police Maruli Hutapea, recently put the words Serang City Police under the Maung statue which was inaugurated to coincide with the Serang City Police Anniversary, last December 13.

"We are still waiting for the official operational instructions for the Serang City Police from the National Police Headquarters. This type increase gives us more motivation in providing more optimal protection, protection, and police services to the community, especially in Serang City," explained Maruli.
