JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office has scheduled an examination of prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari as a suspect in the alleged gratification of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa arrangement. Djoko Tjandra will also be examined again.

"There are plans to investigate Pinangki tomorrow as a suspect," Febrie Ardiansyah, Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, told reporters, Tuesday, September 1.

Apart from that, the investigators also scheduled an additional examination of Djoko Tjandra. However, it was not explained what information the investigators would examine during the investigation.

Djoko Tjandra was named a suspect at the AGO. It is suspected that Djoko Tjandra asked for assistance in processing a fatwa to the Supreme Court (MA).

"The suspects are suspected of having committed an act that has to do with administering a fatwa. About the JST suspect (Joko Soegiarto Tjandra), how do you get a fatwa so that he doesn't get executed. It is suspected that the attempt to obtain a fatwa to the Supreme Court took place between November 2019 and January 2020. The attempt to request a fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra would not be executed, according to the AGO, failed.

But lawyer Djoko Tjandra said that the proposal for the fatwa arrangement was offered by Andi Irfan Jaya, a South Sulawesi NasDem politician. According to Djoko's lawyer, Soesilo Aribowo, Djoko Tjandra handed over the money to Andi Irfan through his brother-in-law. Regarding the name Andi Irfan Jaya, NasDem elite confirmed by VOI, did not respond.
