JAKARTA - The number of residents exposed to COVID-19 in RW 02 Krukut, Taman Sari, West Jakarta has so far increased to 67 people based on the results of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test by the local government.

"Yes, there are 67 confirmed positive PCR test results based on data from the Puskesmas," said the Head of the Taman Sari Sub-district, Agus Sulaeman, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 13.

Agus said those who followed the PCR test were residents who were searched by the Public Health Center (Puskesmas), after one Krukut resident was exposed to COVID-19 last week.

Until now, health workers from the Puskesmas have traced 660 residents.

"There have been 660 who have participated in 'tracing' and the process will continue," said Agus.

Agus said, of the 67 people who were exposed to COVID-19, 52 had been taken to the Kemayoran Athlete's Guesthouse to undergo self-isolation.

The rest are self-isolating in their respective homes while waiting for the entrance to the Kemayoran Athlete House.

Until now, the micro lockdown at the RW 02 location is still going on for the next few days.

Previously, 10 more residents were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in Krukut Village, Taman Sari District, West Jakarta, based on the results of the antigen swab test and polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Monday, January 10.

"There are 10 positive people, the results of the antigen test. Now they are in self-isolation waiting for approval for a referral at the Wisma Atlet," said Krukut Village Head Ilham Nurkarin.
