JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Province has started implementing face-to-face learning (PTM) with a capacity of 100 percent of students in classes in all schools starting today.

However, the DKI Provincial Government allows students to study online or take distance learning (PJJ) if parents do not want their children to take PTM.

"If you still want your child to take PJJ, first parents must communicate the reasons to the school. Second, parents make an official statement," said Head of Public Relations of the DKI Education Agency Taga Radja Gah when confirmed, Monday, January 3.

Thus, schools must also continue to provide online learning materials to assessments for students whose parents have not been allowed to attend face-to-face meetings.

"This means that schools are flexible. However, it is hoped that all children can participate in PTM," said Taga.

It is known, 100 percent PTM in the Capital City can be implemented at all levels of public and private schools, both elementary, junior high, high school, vocational, and schools fostered by the Ministry of Religion, namely Raudhatul Athfal, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and Madrasah Aliyah.

This refers to the Joint Decree of the 4 Ministers dated December 21, 2021 Number 05/KB/2021, Number 1347 of 2021, Number HK.01.08/MENKES/6678/2021, Number 443-5847 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID Pandemic -19.

PTM 100 percent can be done because the conditions for handling the pandemic in DKI have met the requirements. These requirements include attainment of dose 2 vaccination for educators and education personnel above 80 percent, attainment of dose 2 vaccination for the elderly above 50 percent, as well as ongoing vaccination of students in accordance with statutory provisions at the city/district level.

PTM 100 percent is carried out every day with a maximum length of study of 6 hours of lessons per day or 30 hours per week.
