Gas Sellers Complain About The Rising Price of 12 Kilogram LPG By IDR 30 Thousand

JAKARTA - Traders of stalls selling retail gas in the South Utan Kayu area, Matraman District, East Jakarta complained about the rising price of LPG gas measuring 12 kilograms. The complaint was submitted because of the difficulty of selling to the public due to the price increase.

"Large-sized LPG gas has gone up. Later, he's worried that he will switch to melon gas. It's a shame for the community," said Susi, a gas seller, to reporters on Monday, December 27.

Previously, LPG and Bright Gas gas cylinders were sold at a price of IDR 150 thousand per cylinder. The increase in the price of 12-kilogram LPG gas reached IDR 30 thousand from the normal price.

"If it goes up to IDR 5.000, it's reasonable, but how do you go up that high," she said.

Prior to the price increase, the seller had received many complaints from customers. According to Susi, a gas seller, the price increase was only for LPG and 12 kilograms of Bright Gas.

"For gas melon or LPG measuring 3 kilograms and blue gaz 5.5 kilograms, there is no increase," she said.

Susi hopes that the government will immediately stabilize the price of LPG so that there will be no chaos in the community.

"Hopefully it won't go up too much, think about the poor people," she said.
