Gibran Fires Solo Batik Trans Driver Who Sends Perverted Messages To Passengers, More Than One Victim

SOLO - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka has officially fired a rogue Batik Solo Trans (BST) driver who was caught sending an impolite message to one of the passengers.

"He was fired," said Gibran, in Solo, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 23.

According to him, the action taken by the BST driver was a fatal mistake, because it was included in verbal harassment.

"There is also more than one victim," continued Gibran.

Initially, by BST management, the driver only received a three-day suspension. However, Gibran did not agree with the sanctions which he considered too light.

"I'm the embarrassed one, just fire him. Why is he suspended for three days", he said firmly.

Gibran also thanked the residents who had been willing to reveal the conversation to the public.

"I also thank the residents who are willing to speak up, it's not easy to speak up like that. Now cases like that are also rampant, it's embarrassing," said President Jokowi's son.

Previously, a viral screenshot of the conversation between the driver and the passenger. Initially, the driver reasoned that he asked for the passenger's cellphone number because he wanted to provide the BST operational schedule, but instead the driver asked for a photo of the passenger he thought was beautiful.
