Sahroni Targets Formula E To Be Watched By 60 Thousand People

JAKARTA - Head of the Formula E Organizing Committee Ahmad Sahroni targets the Formula E racing event which will be held on June 4, 2022, in Ancol to be watched by 60 thousand people.

Sahroni explained that the Formula E organizing committee will prepare the stands for spectators who previously bought tickets. Meanwhile, the general public who did not buy tickets can watch it on television.

"We will later (target) 40 to 60 thousand spectators. It's just a matter of how many positions are located, grandstands, and sponsors to use paddock," said Sahroni when met in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, Wednesday, December 22.

However, Sahroni has not been able to explain how much Formula E-tickets will cost. However, he said, Formula E Co-founder Alberto Longo as the license holder of Formula E believes that tickets will be sold within one month.

"Alberto Longo said the tickets were sold out within a month. Usually, the bosses would directly collect the ticketing, it would be taken by the usual mediator," said Sahroni.

This member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) is also not sure whether the price of Formula E tickets will be cheaper or more expensive than the World Superbike event in Mandalika some time ago. Because, according to him, every racing event has a different selling point.

"Both WSBK, Moto GP, Formula 1 and Formula E have different values, because this will be watched by 170 countries and billions of people watch it, so the consumption is also different," he said.

Furthermore, Sahroni revealed that the electric car racing event This requires an implementation fee of IDR 100 billion, in addition to the IDR 560 billion commitment fee that was previously paid. However, the cost of this implementation is believed not to use the Regional Budget (APBD).

"For sure, the implementation of Formula E does not use the APBD. We use it by embracing sponsors and it is carried out all over the world in big events. Because this event is international, all those who have big brands must take part in a pretty good event," explained Sahroni.
