JAKARTA - A total of 241 patients who were confirmed positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) are still being treated at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Emergency Hospital until Tuesday, December 21.

"Patients have increased by 12 people", said Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, head of the Joint Information Command for Defense Region I, in Jakarta.

Aris explained that the number of patients under treatment on Monday, December 20 was 229 people. Patients who entered came from the DKI Jakarta area.

It was also said that the COVID-19 patients were being treated in towers 5 and 6. They were being treated with mild symptoms. Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital has 7,894 rooms, minus 4,700 rooms in towers 4 and 7 that are not used so that the number of beds available is approximately 3,675, and as many as 241 beds are used by COVID-19 patients.

For patient recapitulation from 23 March 2020 to 21 December 2021, 129,653 patients were registered. A total of 129,412 patients have been discharged with details of 127,768 people being declared cured, 1,048 people being referred to other hospitals, and 596 people dying.

Meanwhile, at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, Pademangan, 4,605 inpatients have been self-quarantined as of Tuesday. That number decreased by 339 people compared to Monday, December 21 as many as 4,944 people.

The Coordinator of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital of Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Major General TNI Budiman, invites all parties to continue to carry out health protocols in a disciplined manner.

According to him, vigilance by complying with the 5M health protocol is the most important thing so that COVID-19 cases do not rise again.
