Liquid! Pertamina Receives Subsidized Fuel Compensation Of IDR 38.03 Trillion

PT Pertamina (Persero) reports that it has received payment of compensation funds from the government for the distribution of certain types of diesel fuel (JBT) and Pertalite Special Assignment Fuel Types (JBKP) for the second quarter of 2024, amounting to Rp38.03 trillion (including taxes) or Rp34.26 trillion (excluding tax).

President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri revealed, until the end of November 2024, Pertamina had received a total compensation fund from the government of IDR 111.43 trillion (including taxes).

These compensation funds include the difference in the price of the formula at retail prices at gas stations for the distribution of JBT Solar and JBKP Pertalite for the fourth quarter of 2023, the first quarter of 2024 and the second quarter of 2024.

"We really appreciate and thank the government, especially the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, for their support for the company by accelerating the disbursement of fuel compensation funds until the second quarter of 2024," said Simon, quoted on Thursday, December 5.

Simon also said that PT Pertamina (Persero) will continue to support the government's program to realize energy independence by prioritizing resilience, availability, and energy sustainability, as well as providing energy through innovative solutions that provide added value for the community.

"We are focusing our business through a dual growth strategy designed to strengthen Indonesia's energy resilience while developing a low-carbon business for energy transition," he said.

SImon ensured that Pertamina also made efforts to optimize the distribution of subsidized fuel and ensure that subsidized fuel was received by people who were entitled through the Pertamina Subsidy program on Target.

On the other hand, Pertamina also continues to encourage the distribution of non-subsidized fuel volume through the expansion of non-subsidized fuel outlets.

For this effort, until the third quarter of 2024 Pertamina succeeded in increasing the sales volume of non-subsidized fuel year on year (yoy) by 13 percent or 31 million kiloliters.

Furthermore, Simon explained, we have implemented various steps to support the subsidy program on target, including the implementation of purchases of Solar subsidies and Pertalite subsidies for 4-wheeled vehicles through the QR Code MyPertamina.

"Pertamina has also controlled the distribution of 3 kg subsidized LPG using the Pertamina Market Apps (MAP)," added Simon.

In addition, Pertamina has also strengthened digitalization facilities and facilities at more than 8,000 gas stations throughout Indonesia.

"It is hoped that this digitalization process can monitor the process of implementing the subsidy program on target in real time and also ensure subsidized fuel and LPG access for eligible people," said Simon.
