Two Indonesian Air Force Personnel Involved In Rachel Vennya's Escape, Already Detained At RTM Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base

JAKARTA – RF and IG, two TNI members suspected of being involved in the escape of Rachel Vennya while in quarantine, have been detained by the Air Force Military Police (Pomau) at the military detention house (RTM) Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base Jakarta.

Meanwhile, GF's detention process is still waiting for a letter of submission from the superior with the right to punish (Ankum). Pomau Koopsau I as an investigator has detained RF and IG.

"Pomau has carried out an in-depth examination of individual FS and IG soldiers who are suspected of being involved in the RV case. This is to assist the police in the RV legal process," said Kadispenau Marsma TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, quoted on Tuesday, December 21.

The detention of the two Indonesian Air Force personnel is part of the investigation process following the determination of Rachel Vennya as a suspect by the police. Indan emphasized the detention of the two witnesses to the RV program, as a form of the Indonesian Air Force's seriousness in dealing with any legal issues for its soldiers.

Indan ensured that this problem would be resolved in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. And the two members of the Indonesian Air Force who were involved in Rachel Vennya's escape attempt were confirmed to be sanctioned.

Previously, it was reported that Rachel Vennya had been found guilty since December 10, in the case of escaping from health quarantine by the Tangerang District Court. Rachel gets a prison sentence, but she is not locked up for probation, for various reasons. Rachel underwent a sentencing trial with her boyfriend and the manager who was also a defendant: Salim Nauderer and Maulida Khairunnia.
